Virtual Reality. Real Impact.
Meet Readi
Our mission is to dismantle barriers to economic mobility for young adults by using tech-enabled, data-informed, and wellness-integrated training models that drive job placement, literacy advancement, and emotional self-efficacy. We envision a world where young adults—especially those facing systemic barriers—have equitable access to immersive, innovative, and holistic workforce training that fosters economic stability, emotional resilience, and lifelong growth. Through the power of emerging technology, Readi empowers every learner to reimagine their future with confidence, wellness, and purpose.
The Power of VR for Workforce & Wellness
At Readi, we integrate virtual reality (VR) to deliver immersive, hands-on experiences that enhance both workforce readiness and emotional well-being.
For youth, our VR simulations provide realistic career exploration, soft skills practice, and technical training—paired with wellness interventions like emotional regulation, stress management, and mindset development. This dual approach empowers young adults with the tools to succeed both personally and professionally.
For corporate audiences, our VR wellness workshops support mental resilience, leadership growth, and team dynamics through guided, interactive experiences. Whether preparing youth for their first job or helping teams navigate today’s workplace, VR allows us to create engaging, supportive spaces for growth, reflection, and connection.

Meet the Founder
Elissa Russell is a visionary serial entrepreneur, tech innovator, and lifelong educator committed to building equitable pathways for learning, healing, and economic mobility. As the CEO and founder of Readi, an award-winning EdTech company based in Atlanta, Elissa leads the design of immersive workforce training programs that blend virtual reality with career development, foundational literacy, and—uniquely—mental health interventions to help young adults thrive personally and professionally.
Elissa’s journey in youth development began in 2002 after graduating from Spelman College, when she moved to Taiwan to help local students gain acceptance to American universities. That experience sparked a decades-long passion for preparing young people to meet their full potential. By 2010, she was working with Saudi students through global language programs to help them access graduate studies in healthcare. These global teaching experiences inspired her transition into the nonprofit sector, where she dedicated herself to increasing literacy and workforce skills in under-resourced communities across Atlanta.
This path led to the founding of Readi, a tech-enabled job training platform designed to create equity by reskilling unemployed youth aged 16–26. Backed by partners like the Clinton Foundation, VentureWell, and the City of Atlanta, READI uses virtual reality to deliver engaging, trauma-informed training in career readiness, communication, and emotional regulation—meeting young people exactly where they are.
